I'll explain our program. First, we have to attend one of each classes that are Japan Study or Knowing about other culture(異文化を知る). I attended Japan Study in 1st semester. It was really interesting for me. I could get a lot of information that I didn't know. We learned about Shinto(神道), Thai and Japanese culture and history, Thai language and so on. I think that the mein theme of the class is when we know own culture, how do you introduce to and communicate with people live in other countries. I haven't found my answer to it yet but I'm looking for my answer through the program.
We'll go to Thailand for 18 days. Of course we go to Manila though we go to other area, including poor countrysides in Thailand too. We'll be able to see two Thai faces. They are just urban and rural aspects. I think there are huge gap between those two areas. We'll see how Manila is getting bigger and how other countrysides are worse than Manila. I'm really looking forward it because I learned lots of issues about environment. I want to get my warth there.

I went to Akitsuno-Garuten in tanabe city in wakayama. I went there to be more friendly with my classmates who will go to Thailand together from 18th Feb to 6th Mar. We practiced dancing, prepared for Japanese culture event there and cooked Japanese foods together. We will do that in Thailand for Thai people to introduce our culture. I don't know that we can communicate with them but I'll do my best! I'm looking forward to seeing Thai people.

I wandered around Nagoya. I could feel how changed my mind. I noticed that my view changed. I was watching closely to people, birds, advertisement and nature because I learned a lot of things in Wakayama-Uni. Education and Information is really important. I'm really think so now. I have to study harder.

Environmental Ethics
Hello, guys. I’m Masaya Oota from Nagoya. So I’m talking about approaches & considerations for environments in Nagoya.
First, do you know Mei-chari 2010 which was carried out last year. Mei-chari was bicycles which you can ride them whenever you want if you register. There are 30 bicycle park area we call them station about 9㎡ from Nagoya.st to Sakae. You don’t need to return them to the station. It is really useful when you are going to somewhere is far by walk but near by taxi. If you borrow them all day, you pay only 300 yen!! So you can go directly to where you would like to go and it is cheaper than riding train. Also they were bicycles left in no-parking zones around the station. We can solve the problem of bicycles left in no-parking zones around the station and achieve eco at the same time. It is truly a case of killing two birds with one stone.
This Mei-chari projects are supported by the graduate environment course in Nagoya university. It was held for two days two years ago and two months last year. I think this is a social experimentation for breaking away from motorization. Certainly there are a lots of traffic in the center city especially holiday and the period of festival. Also there are some problems such as air pollution by exhaust fumes and traffic noise. Decreasing traffic jam and changing traffic system from vehicle to train or bicycle are well considered approach. Also it introduced concretely community bicycle which is a new system. But there isn’t nothing agenda. Sometimes one person occupy a bicycle for a long time. We must investigate appropriate to place stations, make Mei-chari more popular and need to the moral.
In conclusion, I think eco and environmental problems are not only producing new energy and technology but also eliminating waste.
